Welcome SeaStock

FutureFeed is pleased to announce our first licensee in Western Australia, SeaStock.

SeaStock is on a mission to enable agriculture to reduce methane emissions from ruminant livestock through world-class production methods and processing technology for the superstar seaweed Asparagopsis.

Nathaniel Last, CEO of FutureFeed said the team was delighted to welcome SeaStock to its group of licensees with the license being executed in record time.

“We are looking to rapidly scale this burgeoning industry and the attitude, passion and speed shown by SeaStock to date has been incredibly pleasing to see,” Mr Last said.

“FutureFeed is excited to have a partner that is aligned on our goal to have a genuine global impact on methane emissions from livestock.

“SeaStock share FutureFeed’s passion for robust and innovative science and taking collaborative approaches that drive timely outcomes. We look forward to a long and productive partnership with SeaStock.”

FutureFeed’s licenses provide market access for seaweed producers to sell Asparagopsis into the livestock market and ensure the technology is rolled out in a safe and sustainable way.

Tom Puddy, Managing Director of SeaStock said the company is hitting the ground running.

“Western Australia is an ideal location for Asparagopsis propagation with the seaweed native along 20,000kms of coastline,” Mr Puddy said.

“We are seeking to partner with existing aquaculture lease holders and our goal is to add value to these businesses through leading cultivation and processing techniques and technologies.

“We have secured world-leading collaborators for both cultivation and optimised processing techniques and are seeking to enter agreements with existing lease holders to provide a truly sustainable and ethical product to the market.

The experienced team at SeaStock are currently undertaking sampling, cultivation and growth trials across multiple sites along Western Australia’s coastline.

SeaStock is currently engaged with four regional Western Australian Aboriginal communities who have access to suitable production areas. Future opportunities for regional communities include, research support services, cultivation and processing. SeaStock’s partnering program will assist regional and remote communities to access the latest research on cultivating, processing, testing and market access for this innovative solution.
