Dr Roque recognised as emerging sustainability leader

FutureFeed is proud to announce that Dr Breanna Roque, Research Manager - Animal Science, has been recognised as a finalist in the 2023 Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards. Dr Roque was named among an impressive lineup of candidates as a finalist in the category of Emerging Leader on Climate and Sustainability.

Dr Roque is the lead or co-author on several groundbreaking Asparagopsis studies. Thanks to her work (and that of her colleagues), Australia is leading the world in its use of this powerful methane supplement.

“The program recognises an exceptional cohort of women blazing a trail across a variety of sectors, paving the way for future generations,” Women’s Agenda senior journalist Madeline Hislop said. 

“Each woman highlighted in this year’s finalist list are outstanding in their ability to inspire those around them and to create positive change in their respective fields. It is a tremendous honor to stand among them as a nominee for the Climate and Sustainability award,” Dr Roque said.

“I also want to give a heartfelt thank-you to my colleagues at FutureFeed for the support, and acknowledgement, to be nominated and qualify for an award such as this, as it is the collective work of an entire group that can make long lasting and positive impacts.”
